Independent &
Transitional Home

It has been an awesome experience being part of Michelle’s transitional program. She has been incredibly helpful and went out of her way to support me. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have been able to get my ID and Social Security card back.

Michelle is a kind, caring person, and I truly appreciate everything she has done for me. She will go above and beyond to help anyone. I may not be the best with words, but I’m truly grateful.

Artie

"I’m 37 and this is the lowest point I’ve been in my life. I am a veteran with 2 combat deployments. I’ve battled depression, ptsd and separation from my wife and daughter. Without the support from Ms Michelle and her organization I don’t know how I would’ve been able to get back on my feet. They have been there for me when most of my family wasn’t. They saw the potential in me when I didn’t see it myself. I am very grateful for meeting her and putting my faith in this process."

Marcus

"My name is Marcus Kelley, I’m from Miami, FL. I have five children, two granddaughters and a new grandbaby on the way. I moved to Tampa to get my life together because I was out of control and  I was heading down a rabbit hole. After moving to Tampa I was introduced to  Ms. Michelle on my first day out of rehab by Ms. Stacy.

They took me out to breakfast and explained what there program was all about. I took everything they had to offer from housing services, trade training, and church services. They assigned me to be the housing manager immediately after we had breakfast. That was a big position that taught me a lot about myself and how to work with others that was in the same situation I am in. It is a great feeling when someone like Ms. Michelle trust me to be in charge of the house she is running and to do it with love, respect, and support for the guys she is over. Ms. Michelle go overboard for all of us that’s in the transitional housing program. She is the best and I appreciate everything she has taught me; done for me and the other guys. She is a great lady to work under, I thank God for her. May God bless her and her family and friends that made it possible to help us to be better men for ourselves."

My experience with H.E.R transitional home ALLOWED ME TO ( HEAL) from mental wounds without stress in safe and clean living conditions. This organization also allowed me the opportunity to (EVOLVE) from broad perspective to a limitless overview of reality, caused by professional interactions, selfless support and guidance, being at H.E.R. This organization has taught me that it's never too late to want something better and to have the ( RESILIENCE ) to over come the struggles that you've created for yourself. I like to give a special Thanks to two extraordinary people Ms. Michelle Walker and Ms.Jackie Kelly for giving me a second chance.

When I thought all hope was lost for a 53yr old, I give praise to the MOST HIGH .
